Caranas 108 has been producing contemporary dance performances since 1998. Our works are based on the principles of experimentation and interaction with other artistic disciplines and on the belief that contemporary dance is a language in constant evolution.
We often collaborate with visual artists and musicians to create multimedia performances where the body remains the starting and returning point of a process where the contents are unfolded through a movement that carves tangible images out of the space-time dimension: a social and political body that expresses the needs and expressions of contemporaneity. The result is a dance that wanders through surreal landscapes, sometimes fabulous, sometimes urban, in perennial metamorphosis.
