"Se hai fretta, rallenta" - If you are in a hurry, slow down - takes its cue from some reflections by Giorgio Gaber on hypocrisy and human stupidity, on the inclination to homologation and the hunger for success that seem to have blinded humankind.
To this was added a second inspiration source, Gianni Rodari, the writer who invented John Layabout, the boy who in his search for the "land without mistakes" travels though a number of fancy worlds inhabited by bizarre characters. At first sight such a coupling could seem far-fetched, but the two have in common a sort of optimistic anarchism that exposes the wrongs of the world without lapsing into moralism.
Through a carousel of images suspended between surrealism and everyday life, the piece proposes an alternative path, closer to natural rhythms, more adequate to people who don't want to homologate.
